Genevieve Monsma has been covering the beauty and health market for more than twenty years.
She has reported on hair, skin, makeup, nails, exercise and nutrition for every conceivable audience, from fashionista to fitness fanatic to busy mom to precocious preteen. She is currently a freelance writer and editor. Previously, she was Beauty Director at More, Beauty Director at Shape, Deputy Beauty Director at Marie Claire, Beauty Director at CosmoGirl and Associate Beauty Editor at Redbook. She has also written for InStyle, Real Simple, Women’s Health and Better Homes and Gardens. And, in September of 2016, she launched a beauty blog, Medium Blonde (mediumblonde.com), aimed at women 40+.
In addition to writing and editing, Genevieve has appeared as a beauty expert on a variety of television shows, including The Today Show, Later Today, CBS This Morning and FOX News. After nearly two decades in New York City, Genevieve recently relocated to Ann Arbor, Michigan with her husband and son.
